- Maggie, a recent widower, hires a housekeeper, Janice, to help her with chores taking care of her two young daughters. With Janice comes her brother Allan who is an alcoholic haunted by the deaths of his wife and daughter. Love blooms between Maggie and Allan much to the dismay of Janice.
